Is it really surprising that I’m ending this week with this video? I mean, there was a point a couple of years ago when I could just randomly throw my hands up (like they do in the video) and everyone would know what I was referencing. Heck, I could probably do it right now and somebody would still get it…

The 3 minute monologue by Steve Martin in this timeless classic takes this song to a whole new level. Although it isn’t mentioned on this YouTube version, I was led to believe that it is, in fact, Billy Joel playing the piano on here. Legend has it that these 3 were boozing it up pretty good prior to this being recorded.
I’ll never be able to listen to this classic again without thinking about egg nog and tequila…
SNL – Christmas Time Is Almost Here
When Jimmy Fallon hosted SNL recently they performed this song again (with all four cast members present), but I find the original to be more charming.
I wish I could have found a better quality video of this, but I didn’t… because I really didn’t try very hard.
