NEW! The Go! Team full album preview!

The Go Team

I had an opportunity to see The Go! Team in Indy a few years ago with about 40 other people, and I was loving the fact that it felt like it was that small crowd’s own secret show. They are an incredibly fun and noisy group, and I am happy to see that I am no longer the only one who is privy to this knowledge. Hopefully they will return to Indianapolis to entertain a much larger crowd.

In the meantime, The Go! Team is previewing their new album in its entirety over at Soundcloud. Head on over and check it out. If you are familiar with their work, you will find them pushing their unique electro-rock-dance-punk-pop sound to new heights. For the rest of you, welcome to the Team. Please feel free to share our “secret” with everybody else.

VIDEO: Matt & Kim – “Cameras”

DJ OhBeOne got me hip to Matt & Kim a couple of years ago… good stuff.

This video features 4 minutes of pointless violence, with a great song in the background for you to notice in between the dull thud of punches landing and instruments being smashed. I personally would’ve liked to hear more of the song and less of the, well, everything else, but it’s still a decent video. The ending is cute.

Enjoy.

VIDEO: Kokayi – “RoxTar”

Kokayi – “RoxTar” (Feat. The Rock-afire Explosion) [Music Video] from QN5 Music on Vimeo.

Freshly “borrowed” from the always awesome My Old Kentucky Blog (whattup Dodge!), this video has something for a lot of different people. First, for my fellow Gen X’ers, check out the backing band in the video… it’s THE Rockafire Explosion!!! Second, check the ill rock beat. Third, check the sick lyrics. Real hip-hop, for sure, but enough genre-bending to make my old school heads and the young-uns both nod and smile. What does the future hold for Kokayi… I don’t care, as long as he keeps making music that looks and sounds like this!
