Is it really surprising that I’m ending this week with this video? I mean, there was a point a couple of years ago when I could just randomly throw my hands up (like they do in the video) and everyone would know what I was referencing. Heck, I could probably do it right now and somebody would still get it…
The 3 minute monologue by Steve Martin in this timeless classic takes this song to a whole new level. Although it isn’t mentioned on this YouTube version, I was led to believe that it is, in fact, Billy Joel playing the piano on here. Legend has it that these 3 were boozing it up pretty good prior to this being recorded.
I’ll never be able to listen to this classic again without thinking about egg nog and tequila…
When Jimmy Fallon hosted SNL recently they performed this song again (with all four cast members present), but I find the original to be more charming.
I wish I could have found a better quality video of this, but I didn’t… because I really didn’t try very hard.
WTF is Tracy Morgan doing?
This is another one of my favorites. An instant classic in the mid-90’s, Adam Sandler might not have ever been funnier than he was singing this song. Happy Hanukkah!
One of my all-time favorite holiday songs… I might have to dig around and see if I can find a few more of these to share this week. Merry Christmas, bitches.
