500 Days of Weezy

Some guy named My Sick Uncle mashed up the entire 500 Days of Summer soundtrack with Lil Wayne. Why this ever needed to happen is beyond me, but it did. Check the whole thing out here.

Now I, personally, am no longer that into Weezy. I liked how original sounding he was 3-4 years ago, but then he popped up on every single song ever made ever for the last two years (maybe a slight exaggeration), and I’m over it. He’s in jail and he is still dropping a song every week. How is that even possible?

At any rate, I listened to this and there are a few cool things going on. Check it out.

The Algebraists is a two man group made up of emcee, Yeti-One and super producer, 90 Lbs. The two came together to create this project entitled, “The Diamond Age.” 90 lbs, usually known for his sample based beats, took a break from the sampling to charge forward with a crushing blow of original synthesizers and stutter step drums.
